what do I need to connect kindle fire8 to the TV please?
The kindle fire8 is micro usb,not mini hdmi,our product is mini hdmi to regular hdmi adapter.

Its the mini adapter but can you connect the other end to a android smart phone?
No for an android phone you need a "micro" connector not a mini HDMI this is used with computers or a tablet which is what I use mine for.
